sekitarjambi.com – Kota Jambi, Unit Satreskrim Polsek Jambi selatan berhasil mengamankan kasus pencurian di Kota Jambi. Kali ini polisi membekuk seorang pemuda bernama Faruk, warga Kelurahan Sulanjana, Kecamatan Jambi Timur, Kota Jambi.
Pemuda pengangguran ini nekat mencuri televisi di toko boneka yang berada di Kelurahan Talan Bakung, Kecamatan Paal Merah. Pelaku mencuri dengan membongkar gembok pintu toko korban saat malam hari. Dalam pengakuan di hadapan polisi, pelaku mengaku nekat mencuri karena ingin memiliki televisi. Sebab aksi pencurian tersebut dilakukan akibat adanya kesempatan.
Wakapolsek Jambi Selatan, AKP Sunaji membenarkan aksi pencurian tersebut. Dari pemeriksaan sementara, tersangka menjalankan aksinya seorang diri dan baru pertama kali mencuri. Namun polisi masih mendalami adanya kemungkinan korban lainnya.
Selain mengamankan satu unit televisi, polisi juga mengamankan beberapa barang bukti. Yakni satu unit sepeda motor yang digunakan untuk mencuri, serta satu buah kayu yang digunakan untuk merusak gembok. (Asr)
