70 Narapidana Jambi Peroleh Remisi Natal
sekitarjambi.com – Kota Jambi, Sebanyak 70 narapidana kristiani dari 10 lembaga pemasyarakatan yang berada di Provinsi Jambi, memperoleh pengurangan masa hukuman. Remisi ini diberikan bertepatan dengan peringatan hari raya natal tahun 2019.
Kepala Kantor Wilayah Kemenkumham Jambi, Agus Nugroho Yusuf langsung memberikan penyerahan remisi pada warga binaan di gereja oukemene yang berada di dalam Lapas Klas II A Jambi (25/12/2019).
“Ini adalah kegiatan rutin yang dilakukan oleh Kemenkumham, remisi adalah hak bagi seluruh tahanan,” jelasnya saat diwawancarai sekitarjambi.com.
Dalam pemberian remisi natal kali ini, ada seorang narapidana yang bebas dari Lapas Klas IIB Kuala Tungkal.
Selain itu, pemberian remisi bagi narapidana merupakan salah satu program revitalisasi dalam mengatasi over kapasitas, dengan harapan narapidana yang memperoleh remisi dapat berubah dan memanfaatkan peluang ini sebaik mungkin. “Sudah ada programnya dari Direktur Jendral pemasyarakatan tentang program revitalisasi ini,” pungkasnya.
Dan inilah lah rincian remisi tahanan dari seluruh lapas yang ada di Provinsi Jambi :
