Kasus DBD Meningkat, Dinkes Sungai Penuh Tidak Punya Bubuk Abate
sekitarjambi.com – Sungai Penuh, Dinas Kesehatan Kota Sungai Penuh mencatat terdapat 25 kasus demam berdarah selama Januari hingga awal Februari 2020. Dari enam Kecamatan ditemukan kasus DBD, didominasi terjadi di Kecamatan Sungai Bungkal terdapat 6 kasus, dan Kecamatan Pesisir Bukit terdapat 6 kasus.
Peningkatan kasus DBD akan terus bertambah jika masyarakat tidak menjaga pola hidup sehat, dan membiarkan banyak genangan air sebagai tempat berkembang biak nyamuk.
Menurut Kepala Bidang Pencegahan dan Pengendalian Penyakit Dinas Kesehatan Sungai Penuh, Hatmizar. Pada tahun 2020 segala upaya telah dilakukan dengan cara melakukan fogging untuk membunuh sarang nyamuk di daerah yang ditemukan kasus DBD. Ia menambahkan, pemusnahan nyamuk menggunakan fogging hanya bisa membasmi nyamuk dewasa. Sedangkan jentik-jentik nyamuk akan tetap hidup di genangan air. Untuk itu jentik nyamuk hanya bisa dimusnahkan melalui bubuk abate. Hingga saat ini Dinas Kesehatan Kota Sungai Penuh tidak memiliki persediaan stok abate. (Fdry)
